Blizzard of the Wolf

Ice and snow hiss loudly as they blend
Weaving snakes over the river bend
The willow weeps in snaps and cracks
Beneath which the wolves run in packs
Paw prints vanish beneath the snow
As the howling wind continues to blow
Under the full moon's bright savage glare
Nothing but white is seen everywhere
A black shadowed wolf raises his regal head
And sings to the pack that he has led
This mournful howl blends with the night
Under the blizzard's scream of pure delight
